My boyfriend constantly bleaches his shirts, what are some tips you can give him/us?

I do my own laundry and he does his. He is in the air force and is constantly bleaching his green shirts. What are some tips/tricks/rules of doing laundry? (He doesn’t listen to me so maybe if he reads this, he will change his laundry habits so he doesnt have to keep buying new shirts) Thanks
he uses tide detergent and downy fabric softener. idk if that makes a difference. but theres always a weird discolored stain on his shirts. i don’t know if bleach is the correct word but its the only way i could think of to describe it.
